State of Indian mobile devices industry

Mobile devices sales revenue for India shows an interesting trend which hints at local brands coming of age. The Devices industry in India grew by 15% (2010-11 over 2009-10), and revenue share of Indian brands paced by 22% in the same period.
Nokia’s loss is everybody’s gain with G-Five, Maxx and Micromax gaining maximum traction in the markets. Amongst the big ones, RIM Blackberry registered the maximum growth and Samsung registered another consecutive year of handsome growth though it seems to be tapping out a little bit there.
