Sony announces thinnest-ever tablet to lure customers from Apple and Samsung

Japanese electronics giant Sony has announced it will launch a new tablet this year as it tries to lurecustomers from Apple and Samsung. The Sony Xperia Z may debut in Japan by March before appearing elsewhere, a spokeswoman said.
