Yesterday, 5 people from NRI team, met UP NRI Minister, Swati Singh and team of Senior UP officers, Principal secretary Mr S P Goyal, Varanasi Commissioner Mr Deepak Agarwal in New York, Indian consulate. Embassy knowing this case is from Noida (UP), had arranged our slot for 20 July with UP minister. Minister and Team are visiting USA for Pravasi Diwas 2019.
We had exclusive interaction with Minister and team for around 1:30 minutes. After our introduction, we gave our documents/application in name of UP CM and Prime Minister, where we want possession of flat with delay penalty or refund with 18 % of penalty. We also handed over our previous mail threads/responses of UP CM office and various senior persons of Noida authority and told of them of No action.
1. We Put Jaypee case as Govt. failure, to not punish Jaypee even after 2 years in Govt. They were trying to argue state govt’s helplessness as case is sub judice.
2. We told them About FIR in Noida Police station, and its no progress or investigation even after more than 1 year. They had no aswer.
3. They tried to argue that RERA has been implemented. We put that RERA has been diluted by UP Govt. and asked them to compare with Maharastra' RERA .
4. They said govt. have worked for speedy delivery by avoiding offering possession in one go and offering phase wise Delivery of flats. We argued that new flats for possession are below quality, half prepared, no common area development.
5. We asked them why you were not putting Jaypee directors behind Bar, their response was - it will not yield any result and put out example of Unitech. Then We said that “is it not failure of govt. that you are surrendering before criminal. ?: They owed that it is failure of govt. But tried to put onus on previous govt.
6. We also acquainted them with Current Status of PIL progress and SC interim order. We apprised them that we have lost faith in JAL and under no circumstance we want JAL to be back. We were told that they would forward our request to Noida authority.
7. We asked them why govt acquires those projects and works through NBCC. They said they will recommend it to Noida Authority.
8. We also apprised them about JIL assets of Yamuna Expressway and Land banks. JAL which is itself in line of Bankruptcy is trying to bid for JIL. It may save JAL but not JIL. As JIL has been bankrupted because of Siphoning of Funds to JAL and other companies like Stadium, etc.
9. We asked why govt. is not carrying Forensic Audit of JIL and JAL funds. We were told by Commissioner of Banaras and Principal Secretary who was part of Team that it is under progress and Govt is doing it.
10. For brief time Minister, thought that we are opposition’s sponsored, but we clarified by showing our name, documents and previous mails in our names that we are genuine buyers of Jaypee but we are unlucky and desperate to come out of this mess.
11. They have assured us to take it forward with Noida authority and UP govt. and shared their contacts for further follow ups.
There were Some local media groups of New York, with whom we shared our story. We shall soon pen our pain and demand with local News Papers.
We showed our frustration in maximum possible way that in last during Question answers sessions we were requested by Consulate general not to raise further questions as everybody is already well acquainted with our case.
We 5 were ANIL, Vivek, Suchit, Varun and Roopak.
More than meeting it was great feeling to meet and greet each other face to face.
Together we shall win, For sure !!!!
