Dana White Announces Brock Lesnar is Returning to the UFC

Dana White may have just dropped a major WrestleMania 34 spoiler as he has confirmed that Brock Lesnar is returning to the UFC in the near future.

On Wednesday night, White made the surprise announced that Lesnar would be coming back to the UFC to compete again as the former heavyweight champion is expected to resume his fighting career.

“Yeah, Brock Lesnar’s coming back,” White told “UFC Tonight”. “I don’t know when but yes he is [coming back to the UFC].”

Now that doesn’t necessarily put a stake through his WWE career considering Lesnar was allowed to take a fight in the UFC previously while under contract with the professional wrestling promotion. This time around, however, Lesnar is at the end of his current deal with WWE and it’s entirely possible he’s anxious to keep a busier fight schedule as he approaches turning 41-years of age later this year.

If Lesnar is returning to the UFC, that may all but seal the deal that he will drop the WWE universal title to Roman Reigns in the main event at WrestleMania 34 on Sunday night.

As for his fighting career, Lesnar will undoubtedly be a welcome addition to the UFC roster as he was routinely one of the biggest draws in the sport when he was competing.

Before he can fight again, Lesnar will have to endure six months of mandatory drug testing from USADA while also simultaneously serving out the remainder of a one year suspension after he tested positive for a banned substance surrounding his last bout at UFC 200.

Once he gets past that six month waiting period, Lesnar would then be free to return to the UFC and fight any number of potential opponents who would love the chance to face the former heavyweight champion.

It will be very interesting to see how WWE addresses this news with Lesnar set to perform in the marquee match at WrestleMania 34 from New Orleans.
